MacKinnon-"son of the fair one" as in David MacKinnon Hayes. I am the son of the King of Kings who is the fairest in all the world.

"Sometimes, our foundations become shaky and our supports crack under the weight of the world, but there is a master builder, a caring craftsman who can rebuild that which has been broken, smooth that which has been cracked, and firm that which has been shaken. He works with care and always builds with the end in mind. It is time to trust our lives into His hands."

"Let me awaken to the dawn anticipating Your love"

"Fulfillment comes after we commit to complete trust in God"

"Prosperity and wealth are blessings yet the love of money is a curse. Therefore, do not bite God’s hand when he shows favor on you but do not grasp what He gives you as if it were your own."

"A silly idea is current that good people do not know what temptation means. This is an obvious lie. Only those who try to resist temptation know how strong it is… A man who gives in to temptation after five minutes simply does not know what it would have been like an hour later. That is why bad people, in one sense, know very little about badness. They have lived a sheltered life by always giving in."

"In a culture where activity distinguishes success, we must learn to rest in relationships."

"Lord, teach me the kind of love that is willing to give it all and expect nothing back."

The Love of God

Sinner am I through and through. Attacked and abused, Broken and beaten, cursed and crude, yet You chose to save this sinner’s spirit. Now Lord, continue to save this child’s heart and mind and soul. For I am weak as a sparrow and foolish as sheep. I need you to look after this sparrow and guide this sheep. I cannot walk this life alone and cannot guide myself along this journey. God, give me Your wisdom to direct me and Your strength to enable me. I am nothing, You are everything.

This one of the most powerful things I have listened to in a long long time

Reforming Identity

As a culture, the shift in the importance of family has created a distorted form of individual identity. No longer, do we place a primary focus on the family structure. Because of this, children fail to discover their true identity. They spend the majority of their youth with friends who leave and change from year to year, yet neglect the family, which is designed to be constant throughout life. God designed the family structure to be a foundational platform for personal identity. Therefore, out of the lack of emphasis on the family, children have been forced to change the way they form identity. Instead of learning to form a personal identity through the guidance and wisdom of parents, children are forced to seek out their own identity through other means such as the media and their peers. This shift in influence from parents to peers has caused a mass subliminal rise of insecurity. Instead of being taught individual personal identity, cultural identity is shoved down the throats of the youth posing as the norm and deceiving people to believe that mass individualism can replace personal identity. Western culture elevates the individual but has begun to turn up their noses towards the God given incubation chamber of identity; the family. People, now, look outwards to define that which is within. Individuals look to their peers and outside influences to determine how to act instead of primarily acting out of their identity. A radical polar shift has taken place to where we form our identity from our actions instead of acting out of our identity. The substance of our identity changes from act to act and we predicate every motion by analyzing the action’s impact upon our perceived identity. We believe that our identity lies in the hands of the viewer rather than in the heart and mind of I and me. This frame of mind characterizes the insecure and the orphan spirit. Materialism poisons our weak and frail bodies and we have relinquished our rights to the potion. Therefore, people with the best materialistic face become idolized and their actions memorized, in hopes that if someone can capture their life, then they can answer the longings of their heart to be individual. This subtle shift has devastated our culture. We act afraid to live openly because we fear that if our feelings are allowed to bloom, they will be crushed immediately after unfolding. This lack of identity destines us for loneliness and kills community. Materialism, idolatry, and covetousness crowd our halls and fill our pews; they characterize our people and destroy our futures.

It is time. It is time for change. It is time for awakening. We have unveiled the enemy’s deception and now we must introduce God’s solution. He calls us to be truly individual and unique, no two people the same. Therefore, let us establish a culture of trust and transparency. God, illuminate our insecurities and weld our identity from the fires of Your love. The conspiracy has ended and the reign of a faithful and loving King has come. He will show you your true identity if you let Him. Open the gates of your fortified walls and allow Him take down your barriers. Step down from your throne of insecurity and allow Him to teach you who you truly are. Life is too short to live as someone else. Become an individual. Find your identity.
